Can you do people too?
Yes - we have a whole other website devoted to pop art people, Pop
Art Go! Check out some of the non-furry subjects we
have done to see what we can do for you or your toddler, or
your teen, or your twin, or whomever. Just visit Pop
Art Go for the details.

What is fine art canvas?
The canvas we utilize is a cotton based, bright white, artist-grade
material. Our canvas is completely acid-free, and pH-neutral
without optical brightening additives (OBAs) or fluorescent
whiteners. These features guarantee a significant increase in
the longevity/archival nature of the print. The media is also
water and humidity resistant, which is a benefit as many prints
out there will run if exposed to moisture, be sure whomever you
purchase a portrait from is using moisture resistant canvas.
Basically we are very proud to print on the very best media available
on
the
market
today.

What is a giclée print?
The short answer is giclée is really just a fancy french word that
artists and photographers use to describe their prints.
The longer answer is that its a name given to a specific process
and type of ink jet prints. The printers used are commercial high
end, color profiled printers, and while similar in the mechanics as your home printer,
they can produce high grade archival prints. Both our canvas and
our inks are archival which will allow you to enjoy your portrait
for a lifetime.

Can I have my portrait stretched?
Yes! Pop Art Pet can also provide stretching
for your portrait! Stretching is a method of wrapping the canvas
around wood bars that will display a sleek, frameless portrait,
just like in a gallery. You can view specific details here. If you choose to have us stretch
your portrait, you will be able to take it out of the box and
hang it on the wall immediately. Our rates are very reasonable,
and stretching will only add approximately
a week to the processing time for your order. Unfortunately, due
to shipping logistics, stretching services are available ONLY
to our US clients. The cost for stretching depends on the size of
portrait you order and the stretching option, your cost will be calculated automatically during
the order process.

of portrait, you are welcome to go ahead and place your order for
the specified portrait and simply select "Gift Certificate" as
your method of payment.
If you were given a gift certificate for a dollar amount, please contact

What kind of photo do I have to submit?
We can work with digital pictures or actual photographs, but quality
is key. Digital photos should be of high resolution and well
focused, and real photos should be sharp and well focused. They
need to be reasonably close-up, and practically perfectly focused.
However, you don’t have to worry about things like cluttered
backgrounds or red eyes, we can fix that. Feel free to send a selection
of pictures that you like and we’ll use the one that we think
will work the best. Did we mention that they really need to be
really well focused?
Take a look at our photo tips page!

I will get?
When you order we will ask you to provide examples from the website
that you really like. We may also ask you about colors and backgrounds
and any other specifics that will help us create a portrait you
will love. Then there’s the proof process
in which you will choose from a selection of online proofs before we print.

Many new clients come to Pop Art Pet through word of mouth, it

completely satisfied with their portrait. We don't just offer personalized

Can I request revisions after I
have received my proofs?

such as rearranging colors, modifying backgrounds etc. Any further changes requested
after you are provided with your revision will lead to delays of
up to three weeks in your portrait production, and will require
additional artwork fees of $75/hour
with a 1 hour minimum charge. Therefore, we do ask that you be
as specific as possible when making requests for revisions.

How long will it take to create
my masterpiece?
We always give each portrait
the individual attention and time it deserves. Our turnaround time for proofs depends on several factors including our current workload, the quality of your photo and the complexity of the portrait. As a general rule, however, clients typically have proofs for viewing in one to two weeks. And we can let you know at the
outset of the project approximately how long it will be until your proofs are ready.
After you
have decided which of the proofs you love the most, we’ll
get it prepped and ready to print. The printing process usually takes 3 to
5 business days. Stretching and other services will also add to the processing time. The specifics are available via help, when you place your order. Finally, Priority shipping takes three to four
days for delivery.

fee, just contact us directly with the

How do you create the portraits?
Depending on the selected style of portrait,
several different software applications (Painter, Photoshop, Illustrator,
etc.) combined with filters and a stylus are applied. Understanding
that each subject is unique, hours of focused attention to detail are dedicated to produce a high quality finished creation that
we are known and complimented for.
How long does each portrait take? A number of factors will influence
the amount of time each portrait will require (quality
of photo, portrait style selected, complexity of
subject, etc.). We start by adjusting the photos, removing the
background, then add in hand-drawn
details and enhancements, followed by applied colors and effects.
Each of our subjects is
given as much attention as needed, we don't cut corners to save
time, your pet is special and important to us.
Our commitment is to compliment your pet with color and effects
without losing them in the process. We take great pride in the
art that we create, and feel honored by each and every client's
decision in selecting Pop Art Pet Studio to capture and create
a piece to celebrate the art in their special family member throughout
the years

How is my completed portrait delivered
to me?
If you select priority shipping, we will ship via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx ground. If you request expedited shipping, we will ship via USPS Express Mail or FedEx second day. Stretched portraits are carefully packaged in sturdy boxes and will arrive ready to hang. All non-stretched portraits smaller than 18x18 are carefully packaged and shipped flat. Non-stretched portraits 18x18 or larger are rolled and securely packaged in a heavy duty tube for shipping. All portraits are shipped insured.
Can my portrait be shipped internationally?
Yes. We can accept international orders for rolled portraits, please contact
us before placing an order providing your shipping address
along with the size of print you wish to purchase and we will happily
provide you with a shipping estimate. Due
to shipping logistics, stretching services are not available to customers outside the U.S.
Please be aware that your country may require you to pay taxes or duty on your order. We unfortunately cannot control this amount nor do we have any idea what each country may charge. You may want to check with your local customs office for information. We can declare that your portrait is a "gift" which may reduce your charges and fees considerably, but we are required to put the value of your order on the outer label / customs form when we ship your portrait. You should check with your local customs office to find out what qualifies a package to be classified as a gift, and how it affects the charges you will incur delivery. Misuse of the "gift" designation may result in your package being delayed at customs, or even returned.
How much will it cost to ship my portrait?
We do not wish to make a profit on the amount we charge for shipping.
Therefore, rather than charging an exorbitant flat rate for shipping,
our rates for both rolled and stretched portraits, are calculated
based on the weight of your portrait and your destination zip code,
plus the price of insurance and packing materials only.

How should my popartpet portrait
be cared for?
