From Pop Art Pet!
At the end of last week we finally had to suspend accepting orders for Christmas. So now, as promised we have made a donation to Best Friends Animal Society. And thanks to those of you who have ordered custom pet portraits since Thanksgiving it was a nice generous one..
We couldn’t have said it better outselves! Thank you again to our wonderful clients who through the love of their pets, have allowed us to help homeless pets at this special time.
We encourage you to make a donation of your own to Best Friends to help them continue the amazing work they do to rescue animals in need.
TwinCities.com reported that about 150 dogs brought their owners to a screening of the movie Marley and Me at the Riverview Theater in South Minneapolis Tuesday night. St. Paul resident Diana Lundahl brought her two American Eskimo brothers Sammy and Buddy to the special event and said the short drive from her home took two hours during the long and snowy rush hour.
Kylie has been going to the movies with us for years – to the DRIVE-IN movie that is. Of course it would be pretty cold at the drive-in in December, so this would be awesome!
“Marley and Me” opens in theaters December 25th and stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.
We’ve been so busy with the hustle & bustle of holidays we nearly forgot to report on the recent PR we’ve received – and it’s pretty exciting!
First we were included in the 2008 Gift Guide by the upscale, Colorado Expression magazine.
This year they featured “Perfect Gifts in Every Price Range.”
And now our custom, pop art pet portraits have really hit it big! “Posh Pups: Dogs Who Live Better Than You Do” hit bookshelves recently nation wide.
Author, Ilene Hochberg, highlights the high life lived by so many American furry family members today. From fine fashion to fancy furniture, many dogs live like the rich and famous even though their pet parents are neither. When she contacted us to ask if she could include us in the Pup Art section, we couldn’t have been more flattered.
You can find “Posh Pups” at your local bookstore or online at Amazon.com, and would make a great little gift for the pet-lover still left on your list.
We are unfortunately no longer able to guarantee delivery of any new portrait orders in time for Christmas.
However if you contact us directly with the specifics of what you would like to order, and we can evaluate your photos, you may still be able to have a proof of your custom pet portrait by the holiday!
This would allow you to make some sort of presentation to the recipient on Christmas then deliver a belated, but still wonderful, gift to them after the Holiday. But don’t wait, we will probably only be able to handle a very few orders in this manner.
